THE LARGEST MIDWEST CONFERENCE BRINGING BLACK VENTURE INVESTORS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY TOGETHER, EVER. The challenge is clear: only 3% of venture capitalists are Black, with even fewer controlling the $80B+ invested annually in the US. In the past few years VC has become more diverse, but slowly and minimally. The goal of this group is to increase the number of Black investment professionals in venture capital and build a community so that Black investors can help each other succeed. Anyone with an interest to further their career in VC, enter the industry now or sometime in the future, or simply support the mission of increasing the representation of people of color investing in founders that may or may not look like them should attend! BLCK VC was formed to connect, engage, empower, and advance Black venture investors by providing a focused community built for Black venture investors, by Black venture investors. Since its inception, we’ve worked to develop the community through both social and educational events focused on advancing Black investors. We're excited to be joined by our friends at LatinX for this event as well. mHUB 965 W Chicago Ave Chicago IL
